About Campus

TICD-Misungwi Campus, formerly known as Misungwi Community Development Technical Training Institute (Misungwi CDTTI), affiliated with Tengeru Institute of Community Development in July 2026. The Campus is fully registered and accredited by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) and has been mandated to provide technical education in Civil Engineering and Water Engineering integrated with Community Development. Strategically located in Misungwi Town, approximately 44 kilometres south of Mwanza City, the Campus serves as an important centre for developing competent technicians and professionals capable of responding to emerging technological and community development needs. Its training approach integrates technical knowledge, practical skills and community development to address skills gaps and contribute to socio-economic transformation. The Campus offers Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4), Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5) and Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) programmes in Civil Engineering with Community Development and Water Engineering with Community Development. The programmes are structured to equip graduates with relevant technical competencies, professional ethics and practical skills required in both public and private sectors. TICD-Misungwi Campus is supported by a range of infrastructure and learning facilities, including 37 buildings, lecture rooms, a computer laboratory, library, workshops, soil laboratory, hostels, canteens and student support services. The Campus also has reliable water and electricity services, with storage tanks and a generator providing additional support during shortages.
